I just LOVE driving home an idea, so here is my take on why you'll never see Linux software running very good on a Windows OS unless you install a virtual OS with hardware support for virtualization or do the dual boot thing on a separate ext4 partition. To me in Linux, the replacement goes: gimp->windows paint, photoshop->krita, and so on. If it were not so, we would have ext4 support natively under Windows long ago !Īnd if is a better alternative, then that puts you in the group with the unexperienced wankers who don't know the first thing about graphics development and are better off using doodling programs. Windows also has been combatting FOSS for decades. It runs as fast as pbrush.exe does in Windows, when run under Linux. Install Linux and you will see its entirely different. It does run and perform like crap in Windows because that is what Windows is. If you are using it in Windows, you are going to get crap mostly. You have to remember that Gimp is an open-source, Linux based graphics editing program. Such comments from those who were born after Gimp was created. Thanks for congratulating me and about 80% of Linux graphics artists! Also, nice one calling yourself incompetent.
