But millions get to live, entire kingdoms don't get desolated, the untold injustices from that point don't happen. What would've been the consequence of this ? Yes, maybe Bhisma loses shit ton of karma for breaking his word. One glaring example of this is the Mahabharata : where Bhisma puts his morality & self above that of the whole kingdom & millions of people.įor, the entire Mahabharata war, the sufferings, the injustices, ALL of them- could've been avoided at any point if Bhisma said 'fuck this, i am Devavrata, the first born, trained by the gods, with iccha-mrityu- Dhritarashtra is a pussy, his son is an epic asshole, pandu was a nikamma, this whole thing is headed for a catastrophic war, they are disrobing a lady in mid court, I am taking over being king and breaking my vow'. One of the problems facing hindu morality ( as well as Buddhist & Jain, though less so for Buddhists) - is the extreme individuality of morality in these codes : self salvation & self morality is the ultimate goal and sometimes the ONLY goal, leading to scenarios where an individual puts their morality & self above the betterment of the whole. Which is a severe derelection of duty and a gross oversight of the higher purpose understanding of Chaitanya. Prataprudra DID abdicate his throne eventually but even more damning is when Chaitanya arrived, one of the key generals of Prataprudra- something something Roy- who was in charge of defense of the southern border and quite proficient a general - quit and became a monk with Chaitanya. Processing Color Negatives in Affinity Photo.Except this isnt a 'live by the sword/die by the sword' of an empire getting spent via continuous warfare, ala Guptas, Palas, Cholas, Rashtrakutas, Pratiharas, but a sudden, catastrophic loss of power ala Vijayanagar, Pandyas, etc. There are other ways, perhaps better ways, to process color negatives and convert them to positives, but this works reliably for me and yields an image that is easy to edit. This method works well for me and I hope others find it useful.

No special negative film profiles are required. The approach described in this tutorial works with any brand color negative film, preserves color relationships, prevents unwanted or unintended channel clipping, radioactive colors, blown detail, etc. Some of them whacked the colors badly or were very difficult to edit. I wasn't happy with most of the approaches I found on the internet and tried.
AFFINITY PHOTO FORUMS FULL
I shot RAW, but full sized TIFFs work equally well. Instead of scanning, I used my DSLR, a 100mm macro lens and an LED backlight to photograph color negatives, which I brought into Affinity Photo in their original negative form.
AFFINITY PHOTO FORUMS SOFTWARE
I do not own a dedicated slide scanner, negative conversion software or plug-ins. Attached is a Tutorial on how I process and edit color negatives using Affinity Photo.
